The Apple Watch launch is almost nearing at the time of writing this article. I'm all excited and ready to submit my first Apple Watch compatible application to the AppStore. I'll write down my learning experience here so that you can publish your own Apple Watch application to the app store . I'll do this step by step, as the work of my current app progress. This article will be updated over time until I reach the final step to see it live in the AppStore. Step 1 : Make the iPhone Part of the Apple Watch An Apple Watch app is not much different from an iPhone app. In fact, it is a sub-part of the main iPhone application running on the iPhone and the Watch App merely acts as the extension of the parent app in the iPhone. So essentially, need an iPhone app anyway. In this scenario, I'm thinking of building an app that will be useful both on iPhone as well as the Apple Watch, instead of solely focusing on the the Apple Watch aspect. The app will be very simple, but al...

Apple Watch is soon to release, and being a huge Apple Evangelist, I've been very eager to explore the possibilities of what one can make with these 'Most personal device ever made by Apple'. My hopes are high. I'm in a constant mission to excavate this area at the earliest. And guess what, me and my friends have been working on a couple of interesting 'Apple Watch' things lately: 1. Creating a course - ' Learn Apple Watch Programming Quickly By Examples ' 2. Creating a website for Apple WatchKit Tutorials Both are in beta and will be public soon.  I'm trying to get the latest releases of the WatchKit sdk (which is bundled in Xcode 6.2 beta and higher and is required to build Watch Apps) and trying to publish tutorials on new APIs as and when they come. Following are my objectives with both these online ventures Teach things more by examples and less by theory Convey ideas at the simplest form possible Keep user-interaction at the heart ...

I'm a passionate java developer who just migrated from a Windows PC netbook ( Dell mini ) to a 13 inch MacBook Air. Before the netbook I owned a Dell inspirion 1501. I'm quite a bit of an avid blogger as well. I purchased Dell mini just as it was launched hoping that it's compact and mobile architecture would solve all of my need as a programmer and a writer. Unfortunately it turned out that it was a worthless device. The rest of the story goes... Do Not Compare a Netbook With MacBook Air MacBook's astonishing features far exceeds anything that of a normal Netbook. Before Buying a netbook for programming and blogging was one of the biggest blunders I ever made on choosing a machine. The screen was 11 inch and clumsy icons of the Windows were a disgrace all the time. The tightly arranged keys in the keyboard made typing a pain. It's slow Intel Atom Processor is too sluggish to run even VLC player. After  The Mac's backlit spacious keyboard layout,...

Samsung Galaxy S4 The Samsung Galaxy S4 is launched with terrific features that exceeds the features in any other smartphone or may be even tablets available in market today. I'd say, they've focused more on the software side of the device this time and brought in several intutive features to make life fun n simple. Some of the interesting ones are:  Instantly preview and speeddial your contacts Preview videos by hovering finger above the screen.  Instantly preview and speeddial your contacts (even when you hover on top of the dial pad without touching the screen). Recognize your eye movement to know when to pause and play the video. Recognize information from images. This is one feature I always want and believed to be the future of computing. It helps recognize the information in newspapers, visiting cards etc. Touch and use even with gloves. Use multiple phones as speaker . No cellular data, Wi-Fi access point or bluetooth required! ...

Asus Zenbook is regarded as the one of the most marvelous engineering feat when today's class of Ultrabooks are concerned. All of it's details are designed with beauty in mind and a beast like performance behind. It has overthrown the current position of Acer S5 and became the  'World's new thinnest Ultrabook'. Not only Asus Zenbook, but there is a range of Ultrabooks from manufacturers like Sony, Dell and HP coming up with similar and smaller ultrabooks. The Asus Zenbook comes loaded with elegant features that suit the actual human needs of the perfect technology and style blend. It has a 2-sec boot time and SSD harddisk that makes it stand out. One thing I found was, you could get the same configurations of  an Apple Macbook Air in the Asus Zenbook line for upto $200 cheaper price. If you pay the price of an Macbook Air for Zenbook you'd get a machine with a lot more features extra. With great features and simplicity blend hopes are high that the Ultrabook...

Wireless Internet have always been troublesome for me from the day I installed the Ubuntu 10.04 first in my Ubuntu. Those days the problem was that Ubuntu 10.04 didn't have the wireless drivers for Dell Mini ( Realtek/Broadcom). But then after a while when the Ubuntu 12.04 was out I upgraded to it and wireless drivers started working. Then later one day, for once, I turned off the wireless connection with the F2 key to connect using my LAN cable. The next thing I know is, I cant roam around with my dell mini because the wireless internet could not be enabled again. I got stuck with the whole LAN connection thing. The Ubuntu 12.04 doesn't support turning back on the wireless internet once its turned off for dell mini.  I lived with it for a few months and lately I searched all over the internet to see if anybody have fixed the issue. Fortunately, I found several solutions scattered out in the internet forums and guess what, one of them works! The forum link with the soluti...

I’ve been using the Blackberry Playbook for quite few months now and I should say its an remarkably versatile device for anyone who love multitasking. Getting an external bluetooth keyboard for the Blackberry Playbook just enabled me use it like an amazing laptop with touchscreen. Fortunately, the (pseudo) brand market competition forced Blackberry to bring down the price for Blackberry up to 30% less than its initial price. Now, we’ve got a tablet with HD screen, 7 hours battery backup and an App Store with plenty of HD Games and Apps for cheap price, all with the Blackberry Playbook that cost around $200 now. I did plenty of research about the best keyboards for Blackberry Playbook, most of the keyboard reviews where out-dated. The initial OS of Playbook didn’t support a lot of bluetooth keyboards but from OS 2.0 updates ( which is a mandatory update for all the Playbooks) things changed and a lot more devices were supported. There weren't much reviews about the...

Today iPhone have changed into an icon of style and status. This has influenced the Telecom market so much that, almost all service providers offer special plans for iPhone users. The scenario in Dubai, is no different. Currently the iPhone 4S packages in Dubai is offered by both the telecom operators in UAE - Etisalat and Du ( they both are the only telecom operators in UAE ) . Each have 3 - 4 plans of iPhone 4S to choose from . You can compare each of them and choose the best plans from either Etisalat or Du according to talktime length, sms requirement and Internet usage you require for the month. It's quite surprising that both offer plans that when opted for will provide iPhone 4S for free ( the call charges will be high for such plans ). Both offer corporate and personal plans. When you buy iPhone 4S, it's good to focus on how cheap the data usage charge is, because you'd be using it a lot. It is also a good to buy iPhone from Dubai to take it to your homeland. ...
